Policies

We are honest people with honest policies. Here are our four, simple ‘Feel Good’ policies that we hope will make you feel comfortable and confident in doing business with us. Also, please review our shipping policy below. For sending your blades to us for sharpening, see our Shipping Tips page.

Our ‘Feel Good’ Guarantee on Sharpening:
Of course, we would prefer to talk with you and have a chance to diagnose and correct any cutting problem you are experiencing. However, this guarantee isn’t about us, so if you are not fully satisfied with the sharpening of your cold saw blade, we will re-grind it at no charge or refund your sharpening cost, whichever you prefer. Free return shipping included.

Our ‘Feel Good’ Guarantee on New Blades:
Materials and workmanship are guaranteed to perform satisfactorily and as intended, or we will re-sharpen the blade, replace the blade, or refund your money upon return of product. And yes, again, it is whichever you prefer. THIS GUARANTEE DOES NOT COVER BLADE BREAKAGE OR TEETH STRIPPING as these are caused almost exclusively by improper use. Free return shipping included.

If you purchase a new cold saw blade from us and decide you prefer/need a different number of teeth, we offer a one-time no charge service to re-grind it to the number of teeth you request. Customer is responsible for shipping charges both ways on our one-time regrind offer.


Guarantee is good for a period of 45 days from the date you receive your order. Guarantee applies to in-house, in-stock blades only. Special orders, factory orders, non-stock items, and custom orders are non-refundable and non-returnable.

Our ‘Feel Good’ Return/Exchange Policy:

For New Blades see "Our 'Feel Good' Guarantee on New Blades:" above.

Any other stock products can be returned for exchange, credit, or refund if unopened, unused and in new, clean, sellable condition for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase. Special orders, non-stock items and clearance items are either non-returnable or will incur a restock fee, depending on the product. Customer is responsible for shipping charges both ways.

Our ‘Feel Good’ Privacy Policy:

  1. California Cold Saw will never give, sell, lease or rent any of your personal or business information to anyone, for any reason. Period. Because we don’t like it when others do that to us.
  2. For your protection, when placing an order on our website, your private information including any payment information is encrypted and sent over a secure server. We use online payment leader Authorize.net as our payment gateway, and we are a VERIFIED MERCHANT.
  3. Sharpening Customers:  Unless you have chosen the option “Save my payment information on record, and charge all future orders as indicated above” on our sharpening form, we will not permanently save your payment information and will not be able to automatically bill you on future orders. You will need to provide payment information with each order.

Shipping Policy

  • Visa, Mastercard, and Discover credit cards accepted.
  • Most shipments will be made via UPS. USPS may be used at our discretion.
  • No COD shipments will be made.
  • 'Free shipping on New HSS Cold Saw Blades' offer applies to: a) the contiguous United States (Alaska & Hawaii excluded), b) commercial accounts only (regular shipping rates apply on wholesale accounts), c) ground shipments only, d) new HSS blades only. Other products and sharpening services billed at standard shipping rates.
  • If you need faster delivery, the following alternative UPS shipping methods are available. These can cost considerably more than ground delivery and will be billed to you at the standard UPS rates. Keep in mind that ground may arrive in only 1-2 days if you are close to California Cold Saw. View UPS Ground Delivery Times on our Shipping Tips page.    (All guarantees below are UPS claims. Day and Days refers to regularly scheduled work days)

               To request shipping other than ground on orders qualifying for free shipping, please indicate
              your shipping preference in the 'Special Instructions or Order Comments' box during checkout.
                                                   Additional shipping charges will apply.
    • Next Day Air  (Guaranteed by 10:30 A.M. to most US addresses)
    • 2nd Day Air  (Guaranteed by End of Day to most US addresses)
    • 3 Day Select  (Guaranteed by End of Day to most US addresses)
    • Ground  (Typically from 1 to 6 days, depending on distance from shipper)

New HSS Blades: All new blade orders ship for free (does not apply on wholesale accounts) within one business day within the contiguous United States. For shipments to Alaska & Hawaii, actual shipping cost will be billed on your invoice. To save you money, we do not add any additional packaging or handling fees. If your order cannot be shipped within the specified time, we will attempt to notify you within one business day.

Sharpened Blades: All blades sent in for service will be return shipped within 1-2 working days (weekends and holidays excluded). Only the actual cost of shipping will be billed. We do not add any additional packaging or handling fees. Save even more by taking advantage of our quantity discounts on sharpening (for pricing, click on our 'CNC Sharpening' tab). Save again with reduced shipping by sending more blades in one package. Example - shipping one blade might cost $8, whereas shipping four blades would only cost $10 ($2.50 each).

Payment Policy:
All stock orders will be billed to customer’s Visa, Mastercard or Discover card, as indicated by customer, when the order ships. Special orders, non-stock items, and customs will be billed at time of order, and are non-refundable and non-returnable.

For blades sent in for sharpening, please be sure to include your full shipping address and telephone number(s). If you have not previously indicated on the Sharpening Form that you want your billing information kept on file for automatic billing, and if you have checked “Call me at  (Day-time Phone #)  for Credit Card Information”, we will need to be able to call you for payment before we can ship your tools. We can not return your tools without pre-payment.
Please provide a good daytime phone number where you can be contacted, or your tools will sit in our shop until we hear from you.

Local Delivery:
We offer local pick-up and delivery service for sharpening cold cut saw blades via our own trucks. We currently service the greater Seattle area and over 50 cities in the Western Washington area. Please contact us for details or click HERE for our pick-up/delivery schedule.
